Data Line Availability

Traditional phone calls use the common voice line, while secure calls use a data line, called CSD.

PrivateGSM requires that both the users involved in the call have the data line (CSD) available on their mobile. This kind of requests need to be managed with each mobile operator. Sometimes users need to contact their mobile operator and make a request to activate the CSD line.

Once the CSD data line is active on a SIM card, a second "data number" is linked to the "voice number". Usually a user can go on calling using his standard mobile number, even if the secure call is actually managed by the data number. Read more information about the data line.

To make your life easier, KHAMSA helps you with the CSD question. Here follow some useful indication to deal with some mobile operator in order to activate the CSD line:

UAE GERMANY HUNGARY If you need to use PrivateGSM while roaming abroad, please check if the GSM CSD line is supported in the right way by the foreign mobile operator.
